LNG IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION
One of the common applications of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is as a processing gas in industrial production activities such as heating, drying, burning, etc. Although this is a relatively new gas and still Not yet widely used in Vietnam. However, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a fuel that is predicted to be the fuel of the future in the industrial production industry with the advantages that this gas brings. .
ADVANTAGES OF USING LNG IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION
* ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is one of the most environmentally friendly gases at the moment. The combustion process of LNG emits less CO2, NOx and SO2 (it is estimated that when using LNG as fuel, it helps to reduce CO2 by 25%; reduce about 90% NOx and 98% SO2, fine dusts, etc.) ). In addition, liquefied natural gas (LNG) also evaporates faster than oil and traditional heavy fuels when exposed to air, so it will not leave residue on water or soil.
* LESS CORROSION OF EQUIPMENT
Because the combustion process takes place completely, without causing deposits in the combustion equipment and carburetors of vehicles, LNG helps to improve efficiency, prolong maintenance cycles and the life of enterprises’ machinery and equipment. Karma.
* SAFE
Safety is one of the leading criteria in the industrial gas industry in general and for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in particular. LNG is less likely to spontaneously ignite on hot surfaces, as it has a high autoignition temperature and a narrow range of ignition (5% -15%). That is, if the concentration of LNG in the air fluctuates below 5% or above 15%, it will not burn. It is this high ignition temperature and limited ignition range that makes spontaneous self-ignition of accidental combustion very unlikely.
* EFFICIENCY USE
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a natural gas that is compressed at high pressure (above 230 bar) to reduce storage volume and increase efficiency with complete combustion.
* EASY SHIPPING
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) reduces its volume to 600 times that of natural gas (NG), which allows LNG to be transported by ship from upstream exploitation to onshore terminals safely and economically. save with large output.
* FUTURE TRENDING FUEL
With the significant efforts of the gas industry to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the use of natural gas in production is becoming a global trend.
LNG SYSTEM OPERATION IN INDUSTRIAL
After arriving at the receiving port, liquefied natural gas (LNG) has two ways of delivering it to the end user. LNG is transported by tank trucks to the customer’s factory. They are then loaded directly into the tank at the factory and then passed through the regasification system for production. (Similar to the transportation of LPG).
LNG is transported by specialized tank trucks, which are both transport vehicles and LNG storage tanks. At this time, the plant only needs to install an LNG vaporization system for production. (Similar to CNG transportation).
Depending on the needs of use, customers can install a regasification system including LNG storage tanks and regasification equipment to bring LNG back to the state of natural gas to supply to customers.
